In honor of those heading to beachy destinations for the Fourth of July weekend, I thought I’d share this shabby chic, unbleached cotton canvas bag that is handmade in Buenos Aires by Carga. The bag is simple but well-crafted, with folds on both fronts to give it structure and shape. The handles are vegetable tanned buffalo (for those that don’t mind leather), while the industrial-grade, “Cabeza de Toro” (Bull Head) canvas is so tough that it was once used as a material for conveyer belts.
Like summer itself, this bag is fleeting – Carga only plans to make 200 of them. If you want to grab one, you can order online. $95.00 in the U.S, and $105 for international purchases.
