I have broken more glasses in my day than I would like to admit, so in addition to being stylish, I need my glassware to be affordable. That’s why it’s good news that Sausalito, California-based Heath Ceramics has branched out from their roots in handcrafted ceramic dinnerware and tile into hand-blown glass. The Heath Glass collection includes an affordable group of seven glasses – three tapered, three straight, and one wine glass, that are made in a ten-step process by a group of highly specialized craftsmen in an 80-year-old glass-making factory in West Virginia. The overall design of the pieces may be simple, but they are stylish all the same. Prices: small glasses (2 for $24); medium glasses (2 for $26); large glasses, wine glasses (2 for $28).
