For over 25 years, Michael Graves Design Group has designed products from watches to wine glasses. The firm’s latest collaboration is a line of beauty tools for Slice, a manufacturer of an award-winning collection of designer cutting tools for home, school, office, and industry. The initial 12 designs are the result of a two year collaboration between Michael Graves and Slice, and include six different models of precision tweezers, as well as nail scissors, cuticle scissors, fingernail clippers, toenail clippers, a ceramic nail file, and a cosmetic pencil sharpener. The tweezers and cosmetic pencil sharpener will be available online in the beginning of August at http://www.sliceproducts.com, with additional beauty products launching at end of January 2012. Based on the concept of river stones, the red and stainless steel colored pieces are comfortable to hold in the hand and feature advanced materials such as ceramics, DuPont Hytrel, and German blades. Pieces range from $9.99 to $19.99; Slice donates a minimum 1% of all sales to help fund Autism research.
